The Emeraldene Inn is a peaceful and relaxing eco resort, with only 14 rooms set amongst 2 acres of natural bushland and landscaped gardens. Located in the peaceful Pialba area of Hervey Bay, the motel is close to all the attractions of the Bay, yet far enough away from the busy Esplanade to feel like its own island Oasis!
The Emeraldene Inn is family owned and run, by Rob, Alan and Judy Lennon, who offer warm and helpful family hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you will feel "at home" and comfortable, with quality local advice, tour bookings, and wonderfully clean and comfortable rooms.
All tours can be booked from the resort, with most operators offering free transfers direct from your door. Fraser Island, Whale Watching, Lady Elliot Island, fishing trips, horse riding, parachuting.... you name it, everything is catered for in Hervey Bay, and can be organised by Rob, Judy & Alan.
This property deservedly won the Fraser Coast Tourism Awards for Excellence (Deluxe Accommodation) in both 2009 and 2010, and has consistently been rated in the top 2 Hervey Bay accommodation properties based upon customer reviews (TripAdvisor).
Facilities
The facilities at the Emeraldene Inn are just what you'd expect from accommodation of this high calibre. A huge 12m pool is set in amongst wonderfully shady trees, and surrounded by lush grass. Under lights at night, it is a great space for family, kids, or an evening BBQ. The BBQ area, (also lit) is huge, with a new & massive 6 burner stainless steel BBQ. Rob will give you BBQ tools, and all rooms are equipped with a kitchenette and cutlery and crockery.
Whilst the resort does not have a restaurant on-site, there are numerous restaurants that will deliver meals direct to your room. The property has a continental-style breakfast available for order for $12pp. There is also a guest laundry available for use, and heaps of extra secure parking for anyone going to Fraser with trailers or boats. Guests can leave their vehicles at the property free of charge if they will be away on tours for more than 1 day.
Accommodation
The Deluxe Rooms are an oversized motel-style room, with a very comfortable queen & single bed, a 2 seater lounge, kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, and garden balcony. The rooms are equipped with fridge, toaster, microwave, tea/coffee facilities, and cutlery and crockery. There is also air-con, DVD, TV, CD clock radio and ample storage and hanging space. The rooms are bright and impeccably clean.
The newly renovated Superior Rooms (Dec 2010) are similar in layout to the Deluxe Rooms and in addition have flat screen wall mounted tv's, free water and plunger coffee, plush furnishings and an added sense of class and comfort. (Well worth the small extra charge!)
The Family Apartments are a 1 bedroom apartment with a queen bed in the bedroom, and a set of full size single bunk beds in the studio / living area. These rooms also have a full kitchen, large bathroom, and access to 2 balconies. Perfect for a family.
The property is the only accommodation in Hervey Bay with 2 purpose built Wheelchair Accessible Rooms - fully appointed and audited for wheelchair bound or less mobile guests. Adjoining carers rooms are available.
